I'd like to share some other non-software-specific resources as well!

I'm very picky about the jobs I apply for and what sites I use

While I'm sticking to software, I personally recommend each of the ones below on the basis of posted job quality, ease of resume submission (1-click apply in many cases), etc.

Tech's not just for techies!

PS - 'hack' means at least three different things: (1) there are bad hacks (stealing, cyberwarfare, etc.), (2) there are hacks meaning something really cool to improve your life or an approved and skillful professional trick, (3) someone with no talent, and (4) good hacks which can involve doing hacking to help people find vulnerabilities in their system (e.g. - security companies hired to check out a program). Here, 'hack' means (2) unless otherwise stated!

Use cost of living calculators to determine relative salaries based on location

Remote means to work from home, through the internet, using a web cam, messaging platform, document sharing/file transfer, and/or time management system
